Little Owl Silver And Gold Pendant

I have a little Owl which I used as a template, made a mold and pressed silver clay into the mold. After refining it, I kiln fired it for 2 hours at 1650F. The owl which came out of the kiln is pure 999 Silver. I  burnished 24K Gold Foil onto the eyes and feet. This ancient Korean technique is called Keum Boo. I then painted patina on for accent.

Owls are considered wise, they are loved by Goddess Athena, I had one sitting on my porch looking simply magnificent and was fortunate enough to photograph her or him.

The first one I made sold right away so this is my replacement.
