Silver And Gold Larimar Pendant
Silver And Gold Larimar Pendant
I made this regal Larimar pendant in a silver metal clay class with Pat Evans at Creator Haven. The task was to make a bezel, embed it in two layers of silver clay, fire it and then close the bezel over the stone. I love the decorative baile I made to suspend the pendant.
Before putting the stone in I burnished the textured surface with 24K Gold Foil, a technique called Keum boo and painted it with patina. The stone setting came last, taking care to protect the surface of the stone. Larimar is native to the Dominican Republic. True Larimar is only found there.
The pendant was suspended on a thick silver 17" neck wire.
Dimensions: 1 inch X 1 and 1/4 inch with 17" sterling silver neck wire.
PLEASE NOTE: This just sold. I can make a custom order pendant if you like this one.
