I took a long sage leaf out of the garden and impressed it into moist Precious metal silver clay. I cut out the outline and wrapped it around a ring mandrel. When it was almost dry I added some silver syringe clay to have the sides of the leaf adhere to each other. After refining with a flexible sanding pad I fired it in the kiln for 2 hours.
It was burnished in sections with 24K Gold foil. It looks lovely, natural, botanical, literally out of my garden.
It is a size 5 and half and goes smoothly and comfortably onto my ring finger. Lovely to behold and to wear.
