Pure Silver Cross Pendant with 24K Gold Foil

Crosses are religious symbols and in addition they are beautiful and artistic.

To create this pendant I pressed the texture of the cross into silver metal clay. Cutting the cross out was a delicate process since I wanted to get all the detail without pulling or stretching the moist clay. I created a silver Baile from the clay so the cross could be hung as a necklace when it came out of the kiln.

When the pure 999 silver Cross was taken out of the kiln I burnished portions of it with 24K Gold foil and painted a small amount of patina on it for accent.

I added a sterling silver 16 " neck wire.
