Pendant Fine Silver Fuschia Alcohol Ink And Resin

This pendant was made as a class project to learn how to use Alcohol inks and Resin.

A chrysanthemum petal pattern was used for texture on silver clay. I used a silver clay jewelry template for the shape. A second identical shape was laid on top except the upper version had little petal like windows cut out so the texture below could be seen. The two layers were sandwiched together using silver paste. When dry, the edges were refined and a decorative Baile with the same texture added.

After firing in the kiln for two hours the piece was tumbled in a rock tumbler. The alcohol inks were added in layers with resin and dried each time using UV light. Finally only resin was added till the piece was one flat surface.

The colors are very bright and cheerful and would complement any outfit. A lovely piece of wearable art.
