Leaping Dolphin Earrings

I love the grace and exuberance of dolphins. I have seen them up close in Hawaii and remember when my daughter leaped into the water off a catamaran and swam with a group of friendly dolphins. It was a little scary for me but exhilarating for her.

I made these using a template and different textures with silver clay as the material. After firing in a 1650F degree kiln I burnished portions of the dolphins with 24K Gold Foil, an ancient Korean process called Keumboo. I then painted them with patina till I got lovely copper, blue and green colors.

Dimensions: 1 and 1/2 inches X 1/2 inches. Sterling Silver ear wires. These can be changed to comfortable sterling silver clip ons for an additional charge.
