The story behind these leaves is fun. I was wandering in the garden and found that tomato plants had started sprouting up in planter pots where the gardener had spread some of the compost from our compost bin. I could look forward to tomatoes from plants I hadn't even planted. I believe these plants are called volunteers.
That inspired me to pick some leaves and press them into moist precious metal clay. I love the way they came out. I will use this leaf texture again.
They were burnished with 24K Gold foil, a process called Keum boo and painted with patina. I hope everyone who views them enjoys where they came from.
Dimensions : 1 and 1/2 inches by 1/2 inch. Sterling silver ear wires. These can be switched to comfortable sterling silver clip-ons for an additional charge.
