Gold and Silver Westies

My niece saw a pair of Pug earrings I had made on my website and asked if I could make Westie earrings since she has a very cute West Highland White Terrier. These dogs are small sturdy Scottish terriers, intelligent and alert bred for hunting.

I found a stamp that fit the appearance of her dog and used that for a template in silver clay. I made clay ear wire holders and kiln fired the pair for 2 hours in a 1650 degree F oven. I burnished 24K Gold foil following the ancient Korean technique called Keum Boo into part of the face. I painted in a little patina for contrast.

These were made as a custom order but I can make different kinds of animal earrings or a pendant if I am given a photograph.

Dimensions : 1" X1 and 1/4 ". Sterling Silver ear wires. Comfortable Sterling Silver Clip ons could be used instead for an additional charge.
