Artsy Peacocks Silver And Gold Earrings

These very playful, fun Peacock Earrings are an Artist Rendition of the beloved bird, which is the National Bird of India. The eyes are lab rubies and there is a little crest like crown on the head. My imagination went wild let's say!

They were created using silver clay. The ruby was encased in a clay bezel and some clay was rolled into a rope to strengthen other parts of the design. The earrings were kiln fired for 2 hours at 1650 degrees F. 24K Gold foil was burnished onto parts of the peacock's body. The tail fan was painted with patina to get the green blue of the peacock tail.

Dimensions : 1 and 3/4 inch long X 1 and 1/4 inch wide. Sterling silver long shepherd hook ear wires. These can be switched to comfortable sterling silver clip ons for an additional charge.
