This is a two sided box pendant.
I got the idea out of one of my books. It was an interesting but detail oriented project with several layers.
I made it using Precious Metal silver clay. The circular Round part of the box was made first. The rim was made next after texturing. The lower piece was textured on both sides and the stone was set on that piece. The baile was textured and made separately. Each piece was refined when dry with a flexible sanding pad.
All the pieces were put together using silver syringe clay. The piece was refined using a flexible sanding pad when dry. As a final surprise I adhered a dragonfly on the rim.
I really love the way it turned out. I burnished it with 24K Gold foil keumboo style, once it came out of the kiln. I painted it with patina to give it the amazing blue green colors.
It is like a treasure box, which is a statement piece. It is a two for one treasure since it can be worn both sides.
Dimensions I and a quarter inch in length, a little over 1 inch in diameter.
