I textured a square copper piece which had been filed, sanded and smoothed. The texture was with stamping and hammering to give it an unusual appearance like a floral landscape. I used transparent gold enamel on this side to show off the texture as well as the beautiful copper color.
The opposite side was covered with opaque green and an opaque yellow was stenciled on top.
When you make a two sided pendant the piece goes in and out of the kiln several times and the results can be surprising and sometimes a little different than what you expected at first. Since the colors are different on either side it can be worn with 2 different outfits.
Dimensions: 1 and a 1/4 inch square. Sterling silver box snake chain 20 inches.
