I took a class with Carol Webb. She showed us how to etch on bimetal, pure silver fused to copper. She also taught us how to do the actual fusing process followed by rolling in a rolling mill to thin out the fused metals to the necessary thickness or gauge. I will always remember the class and wished I could take more, but she is no longer with us.
The dangle of the pearl and carnelian beads mirrors the silver and copper in the etched design. The earrings are simple and elegant as well as dressy.
Dimensions: 2 and 1/4 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the earrings. The base is 1/2 inch. The ear wires are sterling silver lever backs. The ear wires can be replaced with sterling silver clip ons for and additional charge.
